Space/LT use this to pick up items and stash them in the van to raise your score. higher value items are worth 2 instead of one but 3 of them can be traded for a weapon

left alt/B take green pills  Green pills make you move significantly faster for a period of time and have minimal long term consequences.

Shift/X take purple pills Purple pills make you partially invisible temporarily with medium long term consequences.

Tab/Y use syringe Syringes give you temporary invincibility with serious long term and short term consequences.

in order to use any of these items you must first slay an enemy that uses them and retrieve it from their body by walking over the pickup.

all of the drugs have some form of negative effect you develop after first using it as a general rule these effects can temporarily be removed by taking the drug that caused the issue in the first place. however when the drug wears off the effect will be worse than it was before you took it, this can stack to unplayable levels if you are not careful.

finally if you take too many or too much drugs at once you will be unable to function for a period of time.

there are more mechanics i have not discussed but those you must discover for yourself.
